Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling in Kentucky is seeking a Rear Load Truck Driver to service customers and haul waste or recycling to disposal sites. You will operate trucks on various routes, perform pre-trip inspections, and help ensure safe, efficient collection services.

Candidates should have a valid Class B CDL, a DOT medical card, be at least 19, and maintain clean driving records. Training will emphasize safety, map reading, customer service, and proper handling of materials in changing weather.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class B CDL and a DOT Medical Card.
• Experience reading maps/charts and communicating with customers.
• 1-2 years CDL truck driving experience preferred.
• Waste industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck 300-600 times per day on the assigned route.
• Pull or push containers from enclosures or buildings as needed.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles at curb or designated area.
• Maintain and update route and driver log sheets.
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Interact professionally with customers and colleagues.
• Operate and maintain truck cleanliness and equipment as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
