Job summary

Rumpke Waste & Recycling is seeking a Rear Load Truck Driver to provide safe, efficient waste and recycling collection across assigned routes in Kentucky.

The ideal candidate will hold at least a Class B CDL, a valid DOT Medical Card, and be able to read maps, communicate professionally with customers, and perform pre/post-trip inspections. This role requires physical stamina and flexibility for nights, weekends, and overtime.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Good written and verbal communication with customers.
• Ability to drive while pulling a trailer.
• Must read and speak English well enough to communicate and follow safety directions.

Responsibilities

• Provide trash or recycling removal services to customers, in a safe and compliant way.
• Routinely enter/exit the truck 300–600 times per day, depending on route.
• Pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings as needed.
• Replace trash/recycling receptacles neatly at the curb or designated area.
• Clean up waste spills and overflows and maintain truck cleanliness.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Interact professionally with internal and external customers.
