Job summary

Peak Utility Infrastructure is seeking an Operator II to join a 2–4-person crew, performing heavy equipment operations to place utilities for residential, multifamily, and commercial projects. A CDL Class A is required, and the role involves field inspections, safe operation, and on-site coordination.

The position requires strong knowledge of safety practices, ability to read prints and maps, and the stamina to perform heavy manual labor. Travel up to 30% is expected depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• One (1+) year of backhoe/mini excavator operation experience required.
• One (1+) year of digging around underground utilities required.
• Two (2+) years of dry utilities experience preferred.
• Three (3+) years in construction required.
• CDL Class A required.

Responsibilities

• Operates and drives heavy equipment and vehicles on utility construction sites.
• Inspects equipment and materials for defects and safety compliance.
• Maintains DVIR and driver’s log; keeps paperwork current.
• Exposes underground utilities manually and ensures compliance with safety regulations.
