The City of Lancaster is seeking a full-time Grounds Maintenance Officer to maintain grounds, highways, municipal and rural roads, and rights-of-way under supervision. CDL Class A is required for driving duties and routine code compliance inspections of various properties will be conducted.

Responsibilities include operating trucks, collecting litter, monitoring dumping sites, and reporting issues to supervisors.

Qualificações

High school diploma or GED is required.
Valid State Class A CDL is required; driving is a core duty.

Responsabilidades

Walks and/or drives vehicles to assigned route and picks up litter and debris.
Maintains the City right-of-way by removing litter and illegally dumped items.
Regularly monitors areas known for illegal dumping.
Drives truck and trailer to transport illegal dumping and equipment to worksite.
Removes debris caused by extreme weather conditions.
Disposes of litter and debris appropriately.
Interacts with citizens and employees regarding problems/concerns and reports feedback to supervisor.
Performs additional general maintenance or grounds keeping activities as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.
Performs a variety of code compliance inspections including residential, commercial and industrial property and drive to and from destinations assigned by supervisor.
Removes illegal signs.
