Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks a CDL driver to operate frontload or ancillary equipment on designated routes, delivering solid waste to post-collection facilities. You will conduct daily vehicle inspections, document condition reports, and maintain clear communication with customers along routes.

The role emphasizes safety compliance, strict adherence to procedures, and reliable interaction with customers and dispatch. A CDL and applicable driving experience are required.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must be able to meet relevant criteria for safety sensitive functions according to Company standards.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to mechanically collect solid waste and take to post-collection facilities.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans. Roll 3-4-yard cans into position for dumping as needed.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; complete and submit a vehicle condition report at shift end.
• Interact courteously with customers and the general public; notify supervisor of issues requiring action.
• Maintain and submit a logbook and route/productivity sheets as required by law or policy.
