Job summary

GFL Environmental is hiring a Commercial Frontload Driver to safely and efficiently service commercial and residential routes, collect waste or recyclables, and transport them to post-collection facilities. You will interact courteously with customers and follow all safety and regulatory procedures.

The ideal candidate holds a CDL (A or B), is at least 21, and has 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.

Qualifications

• Must have valid CDL (A or B) and be able to pass company safety standards.
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• 21 years of age or older.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend basic documents and maps.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect waste and transport to facilities.
• Open container enclosures; move cans as needed and dump them.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; file vehicle reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public; report issues to supervisor.
• Maintain DOT logbook and route/productivity sheets as required.
• Adhere to DOT, OSHA, FMCSA, and EPA regulations and standards.
