Job summary

GFL Environmental is seeking a Residential Driver to safely collect solid waste and recyclables on curbside and backdoor routes. You will operate a residential/recycling truck, perform safety inspections, and maintain route quality while following all safety standards and regulations.

The role requires a CDL, at least one year of commercial driving experience (or CDL school), and a strong commitment to safety and customer service on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED desired.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum one year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet relevant safety-sensitive criteria as per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned route.
• Load solid waste/recyclables into the vehicle and operate the compactor.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete required reports.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor or mechanic promptly.
• Maintain route quality and comply with safety and company policies.
