Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Front-End Driver to operate front-end trucks across multiple residential and commercial routes, collecting waste and recyclables in accordance with customer contracts. The role requires safe driving, efficient route execution, and strong customer interaction.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with safety standards while supporting a clean, safe work site and timely service delivery daily.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe driving practices and vehicle operation.
• Ability to read and interpret maps and routes.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver equipment.
• Familiarity with completing vehicle condition reports and logs.
• Understanding and adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-load or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect waste and recyclables.
• Open containers and assist with dumping as needed at transfer stations or drop-off locations.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public along the route and address questions.
• Maintain logs and daily productivity sheets as required by policy and law.
• Navigate using a map and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow all safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures during operation.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
