Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Front-End Driver to operate front-end trucks servicing multiple residential and commercial routes, removing waste and recyclables per customer contracts. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, document vehicle condition, and interact with customers along routes while ensuring safety and compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience OR CDL school certificate.
• Must be able to meet safety sensitive functions according to Company standards.
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end trucks along designated routes to collect solid waste and recyclables.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and roll cans into position for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public; report issues to supervisor.
• Clean up trash around truck and site to maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Maintain logs, route/productivity sheets, and post-trip inspection records as required.
• Back up using mirrors and follow GPS directions to service addresses.
• Follow all safety standards and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
