GFL Environmental Inc. is hiring a CDL driver to service frontload routes and ancillary equipment. You will perform safety checks, operate the truck, and interact with customers on designated routes. The role emphasizes safety, compliance, and timely waste collection across communities.

The position requires a valid CDL, at least 21 years old, and a minimum of one year driving experience. Expect physical work, daily inspections, and adherence to DOT regulations in a dynamic outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A or B.
• At least 21 years old and 1 year driving experience.
• Able to pass safety-sensitive criteria per company standards.
• Able to safely operate dump trucks and related equipment.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safe operating practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive commercial frontload or ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect solid waste.
• Open container enclosures or gates to access cans and roll containers into position for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections; submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and the public; notify supervisor of issues.
• Maintain cleanliness around truck and site; address spills during dumping.
• Maintain and submit DOT logbooks and route/productivity sheets as required by law or policy.
• Maneuver truck with care, using mirrors and GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow lock out/tag out procedures and other safety protocols.
