Job summary

GFL - Sewer Technologies Division in the United States seeks a Driver - Front End to operate a front-end loader and related equipment on designated routes, collecting and transporting solid waste to post-collection facilities.

The role requires CDL, ability to maneuver in tight spaces, and adherence to safety protocols. You will perform DVIR inspections, log routes, and communicate with customers to ensure timely, safe service.

Qualifications

Ability to safely drive a truck and operate equipment in tight/high-traffic areas.
Lift/move up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs occasionally.
Climb vehicle to verify loads prior to transport.

Responsibilities

Drive and operate front-end loader or ancillary equipment on designated routes to collect and transport solid waste.
Manually open container enclosures or gates to access bins and dump as required.
Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections (DVIR) and document vehicle condition at end of shift.
Use maps and GPS to navigate service addresses and maintain logs as required by law.
Provide professional interaction with customers and notify supervisors of issues requiring action.
Maintain site cleanliness by clearing debris during dumping.
Identify and report unacceptable waste and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
