Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a CDL driver to operate front-end loader and ancillary equipment along designated routes to collect and transport solid waste to post-collection facilities.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, log shipments, navigate with GPS, interact professionally with customers, and maintain site cleanliness and safety in outdoor conditions. This full-time role requires a valid CDL, 1+ year experience or CDL school certificate, and adherence to DOT safety

Qualifications

• Valid CDL and clean driving record.
• 1+ year of commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must meet safety-sensitive criteria per DOT and company standards.
• Back-up and maneuvering skills for tight/high-traffic areas.

Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Drive and operate front-end loader or ancillary equipment on designated routes.
• Site Management: Open container enclosures or gates, position dumpsters for dumping.
• Safety & Inspections: Perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and document reports.
• Route Efficiency: Use maps and GPS to navigate addresses; maintain logs as required.
• Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers and notify supervisors of issues.
• Site Cleanliness: Keep customer sites clean by clearing spilled debris.
• Hazard Detection: Monitor for unsafe waste and report accordingly.
• Compliance: Follow safe operating practices and DOT safety rules.
