Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Front-End Driver to operate front-end trucks on assigned routes, collecting waste or recyclables for multiple customers daily.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, log route activity, and interact with customers along the way. Responsibilities include loading cans, backing into tight spaces, and using GPS/maps to locate service addresses while adhering to all safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Must be able to meet safety sensitive functions per company standards.
• Must demonstrate the ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end trucks on designated routes to collect waste or recyclables.
• Open container enclosures and load cans onto the truck for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings.
• Interact courteously with customers and respond to route-related requests.
• Maintain logs and reports including route productivity and vehicle condition per policy.
• Navigate using maps and GPS to service addresses and optimize routes.
