Zusammenfassung

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation’s Wayne County Maintenance Organization seeks full-time CDL Equipment Operators to support highway and bridge maintenance. The role involves operating trucks, loaders, and related equipment, maintaining CDL credentials, and performing safety checks.

This union-position emphasizes teamwork, safety, and community service. Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

Qualifikationen

Successful completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program; or
Graduation from a Commercial Driver’s License Training School; or
An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Aufgaben

Operate trucks, loaders, and other construction and maintenance equipment
Maintain required CDL credentials and complete equipment certifications and safety checks
Perform flagging duties to support safe work zone operations
Use hand tools and power tools to complete tasks such as repairing guiderails, cutting brush, and cleaning culverts
Perform minor repairs, field adjustments, and cleaning to keep equipment in proper working condition
Observe hazards, report incidents, and follow safety procedures to protect coworkers and the public
