Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a CDL Driver/Operator to safely transport and deliver bulk products, while performing on-site labor tasks and helping maintain equipment at our Findlay base. You will operate mobile manufacturing units and ensure loads are properly documented and compliant with regulations.

The role combines driving with hands-on field work in all weather conditions and requires attention to safety, accuracy, and quality control of material handling.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A or B license and have a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements are highly preferred.
• Able to read gauges and maintain accurate daily records.

Responsibilities

• Maintains/operates vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional manner.
• Driving time is 20 - 30% with remaining time on labor tasks using hand tools.
• Picks up and transports goods, inventory, hazardous materials, and other cargo.
• Loads/unloads and transports materials to destinations with fall protection where required.
• Completes pre- and post-trip inspections and reports maintenance needs to Location Manager.
• Operates mobile manufacturing units onsite to produce bulk products.
• Adheres to all regulatory requirements and company policies for delivery of bulk explosives.
• Maintains logs and records, tracks hours, and verifies load contents against manifests.
