Job summary

Austin Powder in Alabama is seeking a CDL Class B Driver/Operator to safely transport and deliver our products, operate mobile manufacturing units on client sites, and provide labor support at the home base location. This role requires the ability to work outdoors in all weather, perform pre- and post-trip inspections, keep accurate logs, and follow all safety and regulatory guidelines.

Hazmat and tanker endorsements are preferred, with a strong emphasis on reliability and attention to detail.

Qualifications

Must have valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record.
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong ability to read gauges, log hours, and maintain records accurately.
Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements preferred.
Must comply with explosive handling regulations and be ATF explosive possessor qualified.

Responsibilities

Operates and maintains vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
Driving time typically 20–30%; remaining time is physical labor on job sites.
Delivers goods and materials, inventories, and hazardous materials as required.
Maintains load manifests, logs, and daily operation records.
Performs loading/unloading, and may operate MMUs at customer locations.
Completes pre- and post-trip inspections and notifies maintenance needs.
Complies with all safety, regulatory, and company policies.
Reports to Location Manager; on site, follows directions from Blaster-In-Charge.
