Job summary

AUSTIN POWDER COMPANY seeks a CDL Class B Driver/Operator to safely transport and deliver bulk explosives. You will operate mobile manufacturing units at customer sites and perform labor tasks at the home base, with reporting to the Location Manager. Must handle hazardous materials and meet regulatory requirements.

Expect outdoor work in various weather conditions, early start times, and strict safety protocols. This role blends driving with hands-on material handling and inventory management.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL with clean driving record and endorsements as required.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Strong reading and interpretation of gauges and safety documents.
• Experience with load securement, inventory, and safety checks.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe, professional manner.
• Drive 20-30% of time; perform physical labor outdoors with hand tools.
• Coordinate and handle mechanical mechanisms to deliver emulsion.
• Transport goods, inventory, hazardous materials to destinations.
• Maintain logs, verify loads against manifest, track hours.
• Load/unload and transport materials, including overhead bin loading.
• Operate MMUs onsite to produce bulk products; ensure product quality.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs.
• Comply with regulatory requirements for explosive delivery.
