Job summary

Ridout Lumber and Meek’s, a division of US LBM Holdings, seeks a CDL Driver I to transport building materials safely and efficiently to job sites and other locations. You will perform pre-/post-trip inspections, maintain DOT logs, and ensure accurate loading and unloading while upholding all safety standards.

You will hold a Class A or B CDL, preferably with 1–2 years of experience in delivering lumber and building materials.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred; basic CDL with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.
• Experience transporting lumber and building materials.
• Ability to read orders and perform basic math; communicate effectively with customers and staff.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, logbooks, and hours-of-service compliance.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A or B vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Deliver to active construction sites and locations; may travel interstate.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections.
• Provide professional customer service and relay messages on site.
• Load/unload and secure materials; verify orders before departure and on delivery.
• Prepare DOT-compliant logs of driving hours and rest periods.
• Operate truck-mounted forklift for loading/unloading.
• Keep truck clean and organized; assist with warehouse stocking.
