Job summary

Homestead Building Solutions, part of the US LBM family, is hiring a CDL Driver I to safely transport lumber and building materials to job sites across the region. A Class A or B license, DOT-compliant logs, and a clean safety record are required.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, assist with loading and unloading, and maintain professional customer interactions while ensuring accurate deliveries.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers.
• 1-2 years CDL experience preferred.
• Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles in a safe, compliant, and efficient manner.
• Responsible for deliveries to active construction sites and completed build locations; city-based deliveries and inter-state travel may be required.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with federal regulations.
• Provides professional customer service by maintaining a courteous demeanor and relaying messages from customers on job sites.
• Loads and unloads materials, verifies orders for accuracy, and ensures proper documentation and safe transport.
