Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a dependable Waste Collection Driver in Joplin, MO to operate residential/recycling collection trucks and support our daily routes.

You will load waste and recyclables, perform compacting tasks, and ensure safety procedures are followed throughout each shift. The role requires a CDL or CDL school completion, strong driving history, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers and supervisors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must possess a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria and comply with company policies.

Responsibilities

• Operate residential/recycling collection truck on assigned route.
• Load waste/recyclables into the truck and compact as required.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and complete reports.
• Maintain route quality and follow safety standards at all times.
• Communicate vehicle issues to supervisor or mechanic immediately.
• Keep the vehicle clean and wear required PPE.
