Job summary

Manning Building Supplies is seeking a CDL Driver I to safely transport materials to job sites and storage locations. This role requires maintaining a Class A or B license, inspecting and maintaining trucks, and reporting issues to supervisors.

You will assist in loading, unloading, and securing loads while ensuring accurate deliveries. Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, proper log keeping, adhering to DOT rules, and delivering lumber and building materials with professional

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers.
• 1–2 years CDL experience preferred; experience with lumber/building materials helpful.

Responsibilities

• Operates Class A or B commercial vehicles safely and efficiently.
• Delivers to active construction sites and completed locations; may require inter-state travel.
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and maintains logs per regulations.
• Provides professional customer service and relays messages on job sites.
• Loads and secures materials; verifies orders before departure and on delivery.
• Complies with DOT regulations and hours-of-service requirements.
• Delivers and unloads materials; assists with unloading for credits and returns.
• Operates truck-mounted forklift as needed and keeps truck tidy.
• Assist with stocking inventory in warehouse/production areas.
