Job summary

QXO in Winter Haven, FL seeks a CDL Driver (Class A or B) to safely transport building materials and support loading/unloading at job sites. The role requires compliance with DOT/FMCSA and strong safety habits, with physical work and occasional heavy equipment operation.

You'll lift and move items up to 75 lbs, perform pre-trip inspections, coordinate with dispatch, and maintain a dependable, customer-focused approach in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A or B CDL license in good standing.
• At least 12 months of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and driving a manual transmission truck.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Deliver materials to customer locations and job sites, following DOT/FMCSA regulations and company safety standards.
• Load, unload, secure, and verify materials.
• Pre-inspect the truck, load materials, and verify the load accuracy.
• Notify branch management of any potential hazards on site.
• Set up job parameters and inspect the site for loading/unloading safety.
• Maintain regular communication with the dispatcher for timely deliveries.
• Follow all safety procedures and wear PPE.
