Job summary

QXO is seeking a safety-focused CDL Class A driver to transport building materials and support loading/unloading. You will plan routes, perform inspections, and communicate with dispatch while maintaining professional customer interactions on every delivery.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years of verifiable driving experience, knowledge of DOT regulations, and a clean driving record. Field-based role with potential overtime and exposure to outdoor work environments.

Qualifications

• DOT/FMCSA regulations, safety-focused mindset, and professional driving standards.
• Customer service orientation and clear communication skills.
• Attention to detail and safety in loading/unloading and delivery documentation.
• Ability to manage daily delivery schedules independently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills for on-time deliveries.
• Proficiency with GPS, routing apps, and electronic delivery tools.
• Valid CDL Class A license in good standing.
• Minimum 1–2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
• Experience operating flatbed trucks, tractors, or oversized loads preferred.
• Forklift experience (Moffett preferred) or ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Experience delivering building materials and related products.
• Clean driving record and ability to meet company driving requirements.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate or ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport materials to customer locations and job sites according to routes and schedules.
• Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections per DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Plan routes considering traffic, weather, and site access; communicate with dispatch.
• Obtain customer signatures and complete delivery confirmations and documentation.
• Load, secure, and unload materials using proper load securement methods.
• Assist with loading and unloading; perform touch-freight tasks as needed.
