Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a qualified CDL driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations and perform related dock duties, safety checks, and freight handling. You will work with forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks while ensuring loads are secured and compliant with DOT standards.

Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL or CLP prior to entering job classification.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.
• Ability to count and perform basic math; basic written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer including doubles/straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip/post-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight with equipment.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, rope, and other materials.
• Communicate with dispatch and follow instructions.
• Provide internal/external customer service.
