Qualifications

• Must possess a class A CDL or a commercial learning permit (CLP) prior to entering job classification.
• MVR must meet hiring standards.
• DOT regulatory requirements under 391 FMC regulations must be met.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds repeatedly and sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles and straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight using forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Recoup/repair damaged freight when necessary.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch about delays, arrivals, and problems.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
• Coordinate with customers on pick-up or delivery needs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company policies; perform other duties as required.
