Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a driver to operate a tractor-trailer combination, pick up and deliver trailers between service centers, and perform dock duties as needed. The role emphasizes safety inspections, daily logs, and timely, accurate documentation.

Starting pay is $26.84 per hour, with a pay range noted as $26.84 to $31.97 hourly. The position may require overnight stays and varying schedules, with benefits including health and other insurances where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL or a commercial learning permit (CLP).
• Must have acceptable MVR based on hiring standards.
• Must meet DOT regulatory requirements under 391 FMC regulations.
• Ability to count and perform basic math, with or without a calculator.
• Basic written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer, including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies to/from a tractor/trailer.
• Maintain accurate daily logs and complete required documentation.
