Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is seeking a CDL Driver Apprentice who will obtain a Commercial Driving Permit and complete required CDL instruction to operate a commercial vehicle. The program will be conducted at our Home Office and includes onboarding and a Career Pathways track for advancement.

Participants receive full training coverage, a structured pathway from Apprentice to Lead Driver, and merit-based increases along with safety bonus incentives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must hold a state standard CDL Driver’s Class B permit with air brake endorsement or obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip inspections and ensure safety equipment is operational.
• Operate various truck types safely and adhere to regulations.
• Provide courteous customer service and timely service.
• Complete route documentation and required paperwork accurately.
• Attend training programs and meetings as required.
