Job summary

Casella Waste Systems, Inc. is actively seeking a CDL Driver Apprentice to begin a structured training program toward CDL certification. You will learn under a Driver Trainer, perform routine vehicle inspections, and support service delivery to customers in your Line of Business.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State issued CDL Driver’s Class B permit with air brake endorsement or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.
• Ability to lift objects over 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip inspections and ensure safety equipment is operational.
• Operate and learn various truck types (rear load, front load, side load, roll off).
• Provide courteous service and timely support to customers.
• Complete end-of-day paperwork and route documentation accurately.
• Attend training programs and company meetings as required.
