Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations and perform related dock tasks. The role involves pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing freight, and assisting on forklifts and pallets as needed.

LIke to have CDL-A or CLP, clean MVR, and DOT compliance. You will communicate with dispatch and customers, maintain records, and ensure safety standards across daily routes.

Qualifications

• CDL-A or CLP before entering job classification.
• MVR acceptable per hiring standards.
• DOT regulatory requirements compliance.
• Basic math and clear communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer (doubles/straight trucks) safely.
• Perform pre/post/inter-trip inspections.
• Hook/unhook trailers and convert dollies.
• Handle freight with powered and manual equipment.
• Secure freight using pallets, straps, rope.
• Maintain required documentation and reports.
• Interact with customers and dispatch for pickups/deliveries.
• Follow hazmat and safety regulations.
