Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a Class A CDL or a commercial learning permit (CLP) prior to entering job classification.
• Must possess acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) based on hiring standards.
• Must meet all DOT regulatory requirements under FMC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and/or straight trucks.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and inter-trip safety inspections on equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and converter dollies.
• Handle freight using motorized and manual equipment, including forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and rope.
• Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
• Communicate with Dispatch and customers to determine pickup/delivery needs.
• Provide internal and external customer service.
