Job summary

ProLift Rigging in Texas is seeking a skilled CDL/Crane Rigger to support crane operators on job sites. You will assist with rigging, use hand signals, and help ensure safe lifting of heavy loads.

The role requires CDL Class A, rigging experience, OSHA 10 preferred, and willingness to travel and work overtime. You will maintain equipment, perform inspections, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• Clean MVR required.
• General crane knowledge.
• Excellent mechanical reasoning.
• Good perception of math applications, weights, measurement, and balance.
• Flexible schedule; willing to travel and overtime.
• Must be able to lift 75 lbs.
• Rigging experience required.
• Knowledge of crane hand signals required.
• Travel may include weekends and overnight stays.

Responsibilities

• Operates within DOT laws and regulations.
• Represents the company professionally.
• Assists the crane operator in maintenance of the crane and accessory equipment.
• Assists in proper set-up/tear-down of equipment.
• Inspects truck and trailer and fills out inspection report before operating the vehicle.
• Reports mechanical defects in writing to supervisor.
• Monitors inventory of chains, boomer, and straps; reports missing items.
• Inspects, cleans, and maintains rigging equipment.
• Monitors annual State inspections and license plates; reports expirations.
• Assembles and installs rigging, hoist, and pulling gear.
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures.
• Cleans and dresses machines and parts.
• Controls movements of heavy equipment in confined spaces.
• Dismantles and stores rigging equipment.
• Manipulates rigging lines to move loads.
• Selects gears, cables, and shackles according to load.
• Signals or directs workers during hoisting to ensure safety.
• Inspects rigging for safety before lifts.
• Other duties as assigned.
