Job summary

ProLift Rigging, a leading crane and rigging contractor, seeks a CDL Crane Rigger to support on-site operations in San Marcos, Texas. You will assist with rigging, signaling, and safe lifting, ensuring DOT compliance and equipment readiness.

Responsibilities include inspecting gear, setting up and tearing down equipment, and coordinating with teams to maintain trucks, trailers, and rigging gear. Travel and overtime may be required in this dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• General crane knowledge and rigging experience are required.
• Must have strong mechanical reasoning and basic math understanding.
• Flexibility to travel and work overtime may be necessary.
• CDL class A is required; OSHA 10 preferred; NCCCO rigger is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operates within DOT laws and regulations.
• Represents the company professionally.
• Assists the crane operator in maintenance of crane and accessory equipment (pickup trucks, haul trucks, trailers).
• Assists proper setup/tear-down of equipment.
• Inspects trucks and trailers; fills and submits inspection reports.
• Reports mechanical defects in writing to shop or supervisor.
• Monitors inventory of rigging gear; reports missing items.
• Inspects, cleans, and maintains rigging gear.
• Monitors state inspections and license plates; notifies supervisor before expiration.
• Assembles and installs supporting structures, rigging, hoist, and pulling gear.
• Connects pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures.
• Cleans and dresses machines and surfaces of parts.
• Controls movements of heavy equipment through confined spaces.
• Dismantles, maintains, and stores rigging equipment.
• Manipulates rigging lines and hoists to move or support loads.
• Selects gears, cables, and shackles according to load and schedule.
• Signals or directs workers engaged in hoisting for safety.
• Inspects rigging for safety and reliability before hoisting.
• Other duties as assigned.
