Job summary

Austin Powder Company in Mount Hope, WV seeks a CDL Class A/B Driver/Operator to safely transport and deliver our bulk explosives and related products. You will operate mobile manufacturing units on customer sites and perform on-site labor.

This role requires agility with manuals, strong safety focus, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work early hours outdoors; hazmat and ATF qualifications are highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years old per DOT.
• Valid Class A or B CDL with clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Read gauges and regulate to standards.
• Maintain daily operation records and safety checks.
• Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements preferred.
• ATF explosive possessor eligibility required.
• Unrestricted manual transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
• 20-30% driving time; rest on-site labor with hand tools.
• Transport goods, inventory, hazardous materials.
• Complete loading/unloading and manage logs.
• Inspect vehicles and report maintenance.
• Follow regulatory requirements for explosives.
