Job summary

Austin Powder is seeking a CDL-qualified driver/operator to support field operations. You will drive, load, and transport bulk materials to customer sites, while performing hands-on tasks and maintaining accurate logs.

Role involves outdoor work in all weather, early hours, and strict adherence to safety regulations. Experience with explosives, hazmat, and ATF requirements is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class-A or Class-B CDL with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physically able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Read and interpret gauges; regulate to standards.
• Maintain daily operation logs and safety checks.
• Hazmat, tanker, and air brake endorsements are preferred.
• Must meet ATF explosive possessor requirements.
• Unrestricted for manual transmissions is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail in inventory records.

Responsibilities

• Operates vehicles and equipment safely and professionally.
• Drives 20–30% of time; performs manual labor outside.
• Loads/unloads materials; handles hazardous cargo to destinations.
• Takes and validates loads against manifests; tracks hours.
• Inspects vehicles pre/post trip and reports maintenance.
• Complies with explosive regulations and company policies.
• Operates MMUs on client sites to produce bulk products.
