Job summary

Radius Recycling in Portland, OR seeks a Class A CDL Driver to transport equipment and materials between production areas, docks, and storage locations. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain logs, and ensure compliance with DOT and company health, safety, and environmental standards.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL, a valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate, and 24 months of verifiable driving in the last five years.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate and ability to obtain renewed MEC
• Twenty-Four (24) months verifiable Class A driving experience in last five years
• No more than two moving violations in last three years
• No more than one preventable accident in last three years
• Must be registered in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Ability to use or learn automated systems for logs, training, or other business requirements
• Acceptable PSP Report regarding violations and crashes

Responsibilities

• Move freight and materials to and from production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers by hand or using trucks and other equipment.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, following signals from loading crew and verifying safe positioning.
• Secure material for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers.
• Receive instructions from dispatch and proceed to location for delivery or receipt of material.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.
• Maintain all logs of working hours and vehicle status in accordance with regulations.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered materials and verify documentation.
• Provide backup or assistance throughout the yard when needed.
