Job summary

External SA Recycling is looking for an experienced Truck Driver in East Point, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A Commercial Driver's License and a minimum of three years of experience with roll-off and/or tractor trailers. Responsibilities include conducting inspections, reporting equipment issues, and ensuring the safety of operations.

The position requires compliance with safety procedures and passing background checks. Ideal candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic and ability to operate in a scrap metal recycling environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Must pass DOT Physical/Drug Screen.
• Three years of roll-off and/or tractor-trailer experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre and post trip inspections of tractors and trailers.
• Ensure safe storage and handling of trailers and containers.
• Report safety or equipment issues to management.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for pre and post trip inspections of all tractors and trailers in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Ensure all trailers and containers are moved, parked, stored and secured accordingly within the recycling or storage yards.
• Communicate any safety or equipment issues with management.
• Operate effectively and safely on all staging areas, parking surfaces, and roads.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Observe all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED Certification, or equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Three (3) plus years’ experience of roll-off and/or tractor trailer experience.
• Clear, MVR ,PSP and Clearing House.
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) a plus.
• Must pass DOT Physical/Drug Screen
• Must pass Background Check

Job Expectations

Comply with all applicable federal, state, local, & SA Recycling safety, health, & environmental rules, regulations, policies, & procedures.

Candidates may not have more than 2 moving violations within the past 2 years for consideration.

Physical Requirements

• Work Environment: Scrap metal Recycling and shredder yard.
• Equipment & Tools: Trucks up to 18 wheeler, hydraulic truck tilt and lift operations, Box Containers, mechanics tools.
• Physical Demand Level: Light to Moderate, keeps steady when machine in rocking in all directions, climbing fixed ladders.
