Job summary

Radius Recycling is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to transport equipment and materials across supplier, customer, storage, and processing sites. The driver will follow DOT regulations and internal H&S standards while using various loading/unloading equipment as required.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, log maintenance, and securement of materials for transport, with flexible hours and potential weekend work. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s license.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate and ability to obtain a renewed Medical Examiner’s Certificate.
• 24 months verifiable Class A driving experience in last 5 years.
• No more than two moving violations in last 3 years.
• No more than one preventable accident in last 3 years.
• Must be registered in FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Ability to use/learn automated systems for electronic logs and related duties.
• PSP report review with emphasis on violations/out-of-service crashes.

Responsibilities

• Move freight and materials to/from production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers.
• Maneuver trucks into loading/unloading positions with signals from loading crew.
• Secure material for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers.
• Receive dispatch instructions and proceed to delivery/receipt locations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety.
• Maintain logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repair status.
• Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered materials and verify documentation.
• Provide backup support throughout the yard as needed.
