Job summary

Radius Recycling, Inc. is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to transport equipment and materials to various locations while complying with Health, Safety, and Environmental standards and DOT regulations.

The role requires performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining logs, and coordinating with dispatch for timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have a valid Class A CDL, meet FMCSA requirements, and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s license.
• Valid Medical Examiner’s Certificate and ability to obtain a renewed certificate.
• Twenty-four (24) months verifiable Class A driving experience within the last five (5) years.
• No more than two (2) moving violations in the last three (3) years.
• No more than one (1) preventable accident in the last three (3) years.
• Must be registered in the FMCSA Drug & Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Ability to use or learn automated systems for electronic logs, training, or others as needed.
• Acceptable PSP Report to include review of violations and crashes.

Responsibilities

• Move freight and materials to and from production areas, loading docks, delivery vehicles, ships, and containers by hand or with trucks and other equipment.
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions, follow signals from loading crew, ensure vehicle and equipment are properly positioned.
• Secure material for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, or covers.
• Receive instructions from dispatch and proceed to delivery or receipt of material.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure mechanical and safety systems are in good order.
• Maintain logs of working hours, vehicle service, and repairs in compliance with regulations.
