Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes, supporting daily delivery operations with flexibility and a strong focus on safety and service standards.

starting wage ranges from $24.00 to $30.75 per hour based on experience; OT pay after 40 hours and optional weekend OT. Travel may be required, with opportunities for additional compensation through bonuses and benefits.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or have ability to obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight, loading trucks and other duties as needed.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other required duties as assigned.
