Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes, covering varying schedules while upholding safety and service standards. This is a full-time position with a starting wage of $24.00–$30.75 per hour, and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for CDL Class-A drivers.

OT opportunities and weekend OT may be available. Responsibilities include assisting with morning duties, loading trucks, delivering and picking up freight, inspecting vehicles, collecting payments as

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission and obtain necessary endorsements.
• CDL Class A license or obtain through company CDL training.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight, loading trucks and other duties as needed.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Participate in weekly meetings and communicate goals and assignments.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other required duties as assigned.
