Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, a family-owned company, seeks a Support CDL Driver to fill in on open routes and support daily delivery operations. The role requires flexibility to cover varying routes and schedules while maintaining safety, service, and delivery standards.

Starting wage is $24.00–$28.00 per hour based on experience, with 10-15 hours of overtime expected weekly and paid OT after 40 hours. A $10,000 sign-on bonus is offered for CDL Class-A drivers in Minnesota.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission.
• Must possess or obtain a doubles/triples endorsement.
• Must possess good customer service and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Cover open, vacant or temporarily unassigned route based on business needs.
• Assist drivers with daily morning duties such as sorting freight, loading trucks and other duties as needed.
• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Collect payments as needed.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Travel may be required.
• Perform other required duties as assigned.
