Job summary

Gourmet Foods International is hiring a CDL driver stationed in Conroe, TX, offering a full-time daytime schedule with home time weekly. The role requires a valid CDL and at least one year of driving experience, plus the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and climb ladders. Comprehensive benefits and travel requirements apply.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, safely deliver orders, maintain product temperatures, and ensure accurate payments and paperwork. Excellent customer service is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Valid CDL License.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Able to step up 17 inches and climb up to three rungs of a ladder.
• Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions.
• Willingness to work scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections, verify routes, check product counts, and complete safety checks per DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Safely drive and deliver customer orders following all laws and company protocols.
• Maintain proper load temperatures as per product specs.
• Unload products by hand or with a hand truck and place items in customer storage areas.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, collect payments when needed, report discrepancies or returns.
• Manage backhauls per dispatch instructions and load efficiency.
• Complete post-trip tasks, unload returns, submit paperwork and payments, perform vehicle safety checks, and park securely.
• Deliver excellent customer service and handle complaints professionally and effectively.
• Promptly report accidents, injuries or equipment damage.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Safely drive and deliver customer orders while following all federal, state, and company protocols.
• Maintain proper load temperatures as specified in product specifications.
• Unload products by hand or using a hand truck and place items in designated customer storage areas.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, collect payments (when required), and communicate discrepancies or returns.
• Manage backhauls in accordance with dispatch instructions, jurisdictional compliance, and load efficiency.
• Complete post-trip tasks, including unloading returns, submitting paperwork and payments, vehicle safety check, and secure parking.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, handling any complaints professionally and effectively.
• Promptly report accidents, injuries, or equipment damage.
