Job summary

Gourmet Foods International is hiring for a CDL A driver to deliver customer orders across routes with consistent schedules. Expect home 2–3 days in a row each week and weekly resets at home, with late-model trucks and modern equipment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 21 years.
• Valid CDL License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Able to climb a 17 inch step and up to three ladder rungs.
• Must have reliable attendance and be able to work varied shifts including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip checks including route numbers, account numbers, item counts, and customer invoices.
• Deliver orders following DOT/FMCSA/state regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain load temperatures per specification.
• Unload products using hand truck or by hand into designated storage areas.
• Obtain customer signatures, collect payments when required, and report discrepancies to management.
• Communicate errors/returns to the appropriate channels.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Performing all pre-trip responsibilities, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items, and checking customer invoices of products that have been loaded, and performing the "pre-trip safety check" inspection of truck and trailer according to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Driving to and delivering customer orders following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations, and GFI procedures and protocols
• Maintaining load temperatures according to load specifications
• Unloading products from the trailer with a hand truck or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas.
• Verifying delivery of items with customers and obtaining proper signatures; collecting money (cash or checks) when required; contacting management for authorization when discrepancies on the invoice and communicating all errors/return

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age: 21 years old.
• Valid CDL License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to step up 17 inches and climb up to three rungs of a ladder.
• Consistent, regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position. Employees must be able to work scheduled shifts, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed to support business and operational needs.
