Job summary

Gourmet Foods International West in Colton, CA is seeking a full-time CDL driver to safely transport customer orders and perform pre-trip inspections. You will maintain load temperatures, unload with a hand truck, verify deliveries, and report discrepancies while adhering to DOT/FMCSA regulations.

We offer up to $85,000 per year based on experience, a guaranteed minimum salary, monthly safety bonus, and generous benefits including health, dental, vision, 401K with company match, and paid time

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• Valid CDL License required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Climb up to three rungs of a ladder and step up 17 inches.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip inspections and verify routes in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Safely drive and deliver customer orders following all protocols.
• Maintain proper load temperatures as specified.
• Unload products using a hand truck and place in designated storage areas.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, and communicate discrepancies or returns.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Perform pre-trip inspections, including verifying routes, checking product counts, and completing safety checks in compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Safely drive and deliver customer orders while following all federal, state, and company protocols.
• Maintain proper load temperatures as specified in product specifications.
• Unload products by hand or using a hand truck and place items in designated customer storage areas.
• Verify deliveries, obtain signatures, collect payments (when required), and communicate discrepancies or returns.
• Manage backhauls in accordance with dispatch instructions, jurisdictional compliance, and load efficiency.
• Complete post-trip tasks, including unloading returns, submitting paperwork and payments, vehicle safety check, and secure parking.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, handling any complaints professionally and effectively.
• Promptly report accidents, injuries, or equipment damage.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum age: 21 years old.
• Valid CDL License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to step up 17 inches and climb up to three rungs of a ladder.
