Job summary

Gourmet Foods International is seeking a CDL Class B driver to handle delivery routes with a focus on safety and on-time performance. The position offers dependable home time, a family-owned feel with a national footprint, and modern equipment including XM Radio and Bluetooth.

Eligible drivers have at least one year of Class B experience, must be at least 21, and qualify for a comprehensive benefits package covering health, retirement, paid time off, and additional bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 21 years old.
• Valid CDL License.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, push/pull up to 75 lbs.
• Ability to step up 17 inches and climb up to three rungs of a ladder.

Responsibilities

• Performing all pre-trip responsibilities according to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Driving to and delivering customer orders following all regulations and procedures.
• Maintaining load temperatures according to load specifications.
• Unloading products from the trailer and placing them in designated storage areas.
• Verifying delivery with customers and obtaining proper signatures; collecting payments when required.

Responsibilities And Duties

• Performing all pre-trip responsibilities, including checking route numbers and account numbers for assigned deliveries, counting items, and checking customer invoices of products that have been loaded, and performing the "pre-trip safety check" inspection of truck and trailer according to DOT/FMCSA regulations.
• Driving to and delivering customer orders following all DOT/FMCSA, state regulations, and GFI procedures and protocols
• Maintaining load temperatures according to load specifications
• Unloading products from the trailer with a hand truck or by hand and placing them in designated customer storage areas.
• Verifying delivery of items with customers and obtaining proper signatures; collecting money (cash or checks) when required; contacting management for authorization when discrepancies on the invoice and communicating all errors/returns.
