Job summary

160 Driving Academy is the nation’s largest CDL training school with 90+ locations. As a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer, you will teach students from pre-trip inspections to CDL exams, in yards and on the road, alongside fellow instructors and a Lead Instructor.

Qualifications

Strong communication skills for coaching and mentoring students.
Ability to guide and evaluate learners with patience and clarity.
Fundamental computer skills for tracking progress and scheduling.
Willingness to relocate or reside in state as required by roles.

Responsibilities

Teach Class A driving skills in outdoor yards and classrooms.
Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
Prepare students to pass the CDL on the first attempt.
Track attendance and student progress; provide support when needed.
Maintain training records, evaluations, and documentation.
Report incidents to lead and corporate in a timely manner.
Collaborate with instructors to deliver a consistent student experience.
Assist with truck transfers to repair operations and nearby yards.
Participate in a 90-day probationary period to ensure safety and curriculum adherence.
