Job summary

160 Driving Academy is hiring a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from pre-trip inspections through the CDL exam, in yards and on the road. You work with a team of instructors, filling in at regional yards as needed, and help keep yards clean and safe.

You will be paid hourly with opportunities for merit increases and a monthly bonus pool based on yard performance and student ratings. A relocation benefit is available for moving to locations 100+ miles away.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Class A CDL with at least 24 months of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills using hands-on training in yards with automatic and manual transmissions.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and on-road driving.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on the first attempt.
• Maintain training records and documentation.
• Collaborate with Lead Instructor to deliver a consistent student experience.
