Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer to teach students from pre-trip inspection to CDL exam, in yard and on-road settings. You’ll work with other instructors and a Lead Instructor, with occasional coverage at regional yards and light upkeep of the yard.

Responsibilities include hands-on training, tracking progress, and ensuring safety and curriculum compliance. A 90-day probation and potential to relocate to other yards are noted.

Qualifications

Experienced CDL Class A instructor with hands-on training skills.
Proven ability to guide students from pre-trip to CDL test success.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work with a team of instructors.

Responsibilities

Teach Class A driving skills in yards with manual and automatic transmissions.
Guide students through pre-trip inspections and yard maneuvers.
Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on first attempt.
Maintain training records and documentation with lead instructor.
Assist with transfer of trucks to repair operations and nearby yards.
