Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid Class A CDL with at least 24 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• Must meet state instructor licensing requirements where applicable.
• Must reside in the state you apply for or have relocation plans.
• Background check clearance and DOT drug/alcohol screening.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills to guide students.

Responsibilities

• Teach Class A driving skills with hands-on training in yards and on the road.
• Guide students through pre-trip inspections, yard maneuvers, and testing prep.
• Prepare students to pass CDL testing standards on the first attempt.
• Track attendance and student progress; provide additional support as needed.
• Maintain training records and document incidents; report to lead/corporate.
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and Lead Instructor to ensure consistency.
• Help keep the yard and buildings clean and presentable; cover for others when needed.
• Navigate a 90-day probationary period to ensure safety, compliance, and curriculum adherence.
