Job summary

160 Driving Academy is seeking a CDL Class A Instructor Trainer based at a designated yard. You teach students from pre-trip inspections to the CDL exam, in the yard and behind the wheel, with occasional coverage at regional yards.

This local, hands-on role keeps you home each night and offers merit-based wage increases, monthly bonus pool when first-time pass rates hit targets, and other incentives. Responsibilities include keeping the yard clean and maintaining training records.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required and eligible for instructor certification.
• Experience teaching or coaching adults in a hands-on setting preferred.
• Ability to maintain yard cleanliness and basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Instruct students on pre-trip inspections and driving skills.
• Supervise yard operations and ensure safety protocols are followed.
• Track student progress and document training activities.
• Cover for other instructors at regional yards when needed.
